Hot 8 Brass Band played a couple of fantastic tunes last night on BBC2's coverage of Glastonbury.

A definate reasurance that they're going to kick this year's Sheep Music off in style. They will be playing the Big Top on Friday night.

Sick Note & Ash Grunwald added to the bill

Techno punks, Sick Note have been pulverising their way to the top of the festival scene with their chaotic live show and you can see it for yourself in the Sheep Music Big Top on Friday night.

Australian Bluesman, Ash Grunwald will be stopping off for a late night gig in Café Seren on Sunday night.

Also confirmed are Los Albertos, Stealing Sheep, Paul Middleton & The Angst Band,
Los Squideros and Luke, Mills & Jackson.

We have a few more stragglers to round up but the festival schedule will be published on the website in the next few days.

Dub Pistols Live, headlining the Big Top

Big Beat behemoths Dub Pistols will be bringing their show stopping live set to Sheep Music this year. A spectacular sound carved out of a love of all styles from Techno & Hip-Hop to Punk & Ska.

Maroon Town confirmed

Maroon Town played Sheep Music in 2005 to a heaving Saturday night Big Top and shook it to it's very tent pegs.

Here's their single, recorded under the pseudonym ‘MT Headz’, for anyone who needs reminding of what's in store.

A Picnic and a Play
Performances take place inside the Sheep Music Dome, set beside water in the beautiful grounds of three Welsh Border country houses offering a wonderful opportunity to bring your own picnic and enjoy it before the show.

2009 line-up released!

Sheep Music is proud to present the first wave of confirmed acts for this year's festival.

Word is already out about 17 Hippies, The Destroyers and Matt Harvey, but now there is a whole lot more to get excited about.

Amongst others there's top notch Scottish instrumentalists Moishe's Bagel, genuine New Orleans street music superstars Hot 8 Brass Band, spellbinding adventures through mime with Theatre mimi and the extraordinary Sheep Music house band Black Sheep White Sheep led by John Hymas.

Sheep Music is bouncing back suitably rejuvenated after a year’s absence.

Why not join an intimate crowd of 2,500 people for three fantastic, funk filled days of world, groove and roots music. This year add to the mix some performance poetry, the odd piece of theatre, some great walkabout acts. So be safe in the knowledge that Sheep Music 2009 will have the best and most diverse line-up in its 17-year history!

Sheep Music festival is family-friendly.

Sheep Music is small enough to feel safe, and large enough to keep the little ones busy! We have a dedicated children’s area with a circus little top, story telling yurt and workshop tent, hand powered swing boats and merry go round, sand pit and more…with a diverse programme of activities.. These will include creative workshops, dance, circus fun, games, music, performance and a procession! Also introducing children’s films in the cinema tent first thing in the morning and in the early evening.
